Hi my name is Capt. Cory McGuire, I own and operate Falling Tide Charters out of Four Winds Marina located on beautiful Pine Island, Florida. I specialize In light tackle backcountry fishing for Snook, Redfish, Trout, as well as Tarpon fishing the world famous Boca Grande Pass. When booking a trip with Falling Tide Charters you will be provided with the best equipment available from the smooth, comfortable, dry ride of my fully rigged Pathfinder Bay Boat to fishing with the latest Eupro graphite rods combined with top shelf Shimano reels. You will have all the neccesary equipment to catch that fish of a lifetime.

After only a short wait, the Falling Tide Charters Florida Fisher is now back in action. We removed the tower which will add more walk around room and added a taller console which will allow me to see as good as I could in the tower. The schools of Redfish are beginning to show up and the winter red fish extravangza will begin! whose ready to catch some tailers?!

March Fishing

As we come into March are weather is still colder than usual but, the water temperature has moved it's way into the mid and even high sixties in most places. With the warmer water temperature you can expect Trout fishing to pick up, try fishing shallow flats early in the morning 1-3 ft. then as the day progresses move to the deeper flats 4-7 ft. In March you can expect Redfish to show up in a big way. Look for Reds to congregate on the deeper mangrove shorelines on the top of the incoming tides. Sheepshead and Snapper will still be a go to fish, try fishing any structure near the passes, and as the tide starts to slow down try chumming with little chunks of shrimp to get the bite turned back on. If you have any questions or wish to book a charter feel free to call Capt. Cory McGuire at 239-738-9095 anytime. - Capt. Cory McGuire

February Fishing

Posted by Cory McGuire on February 5, 2010 at 6:25 PM
As the water begins to warm back up, and our cold fronts become milder, fishing will be getting better as the month progresses. Trout fishing has been on fire, catching 50 or more has become a regular occurence on recent charters. Redfish are starting to show up in small groups of 15-20 fish along the east wall of Pine Island Sound, in the deeper mangrove shorlines, as well as some of the sandy potholes. Near shore fishing on the local wrecks will produce good sized snapper this time of year along with cobia, kingfish, grouper as well as some permit.  February holds tons of great fishing action no matter what you choose to target.

"All of us had an incredibly memorable day. We were trying to tally up our count and think we probably landed about 20 redfish and trout combined. What a day -- I especially appreciated the way that you worked with my boys -- it is a day they won't forget."

Eric Toole

"I Just want to thank you again for creating a memory that my son and I will share forever. You are a great captain, the best I've been with."
